Happy New Year in the EST baby!
Alright, alright…I guess the rest of you time zones can have a good new year as well (as long as you behave yourselves).
This is my first post since over a week now so I’ll get my Holiday spiel out of the way. Me, I’m trying to make the best of the new year, but there’s nothing like starting the new year with a cold AND getting a reminder in the mail tonight about your student loan repayments starting in a few mere months. But yeah, this is just the brunt end of a slew of crazy things happening since christmas eve. First, that christmas eve was pretty rainy/warm (and by warm, I just mean not that cold at all) so our basement flooded for the bazillionth time and put out the furnace. A couple days later it flooded again and put the hot water tank out so we without hot water for about a day. Then a couple days of crazy wind, thank god nothing bad happened there. But earlier this week when my mom tried to do laundry she found something’s wrong with the washer and we can’t get a service appointment until monday so we had to do a couple loads at my grandma’s. Oh, and most of the snow that melted came back last night. Buffalo weather yet again never fails to be “unique”. WHEW…
Other than that stuff though, my christmas was pretty rocking. I’m sitting pretty now with a PS3/MGS4 bundle and plenty of new DVDs to watch. Got to hang out with the whole family on christmas day as well so it’s all good.
Right now I’m just kinda sitting around my place thinking of what to do besides check out the festivities in Animal Crossing City Folk before the year’s out. I plan on doing an article about the characters in the “Captain N and the New Super Mario World” series of 1991 before the week’s end so look out for that, but not much else planned.
