Moar things to come…

Filed under: World of Video Gaming — Tags: — DGM-payne @ 12:48 am

Upcoming this week, tune in to riskening.com for:

– A countdown of my top to wait for games in late 2009/2010 (I mean it this time, the list is raring to go).

– A look at Co-op gaming on current consoles and my opinion in general (it’s a good one).

…and more?

We’ll see where the week takes us. For now thanks for continuing to check out the site and stay tuned.

What kind of Max Payne fan would I be…

…if I didn’t post the brand spanking new Max Payne 3 screens.

12 years since Max Payne 2, Max is looking balder and a bit more scarred but still built enough to kick some ass. Apparently Payne is involved in some security work in Brazil when treachery sets foot once again. I was quite suprised by the new setting as it’s a big change but I’m just waiting now to see where this takes him.

See all 6 new screens in the full post.

Dun, Dun, Dun! (3D Realms and DNF part 3)

The battle between developer 3D Realms and publisher Take-Two rages on.

3D Realms countersues and counters accusations from Take-Two, a third party title simply named “Duke Begins” is revealed and….Duke Nukem Forever is still in development?

The plot thickens.

I like where this is going…is it too much to hope that the Duke attitude is still alive?

Mmmmm….DVD goodness.

I really don’t post much about sales but this time I couldn’t resist. If you haven’t noticed already, Target is having some great sales on DVDs this week (thanks father’s day). Only $4 for some great classics and some newer DVDs for only $10, how could you lose? I bagged myself quite a few today and I’d advise you to get on down to a store soon too if you’re interested it what’s offered.

Some $4 selections (that I picked up) : The Shawshank Redemption, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Anchorman, Zoolander, Casino, Minority Report, X-Men 1-3

Some $10 selections (that I picked up) : Yes Man, Gran Torino (Woot! New releases ftw.), and Hancock

Another one under the $10 was Defiance that I picked up last weekend for a bit more. Dang…sometimes you just can’t tell. Luckily Seven Pounds was also $10 at Best Buy a couple weeks ago when I got it so that was good atleast.

Anyways, there’s also some pretty good (not as great, but decent) deals on Blu-rays if that’s your sort of deal instead. Target is really giving places like Best Buy a run for their money this week considering they don’t have nearly as great deals this time around.

Check out the Ad if you haven’t already.

Until next time,

P.S. – I haven’t forgotten about the anticipated list yet, I’ll get around to it ASAP.

Riskening’s most anticipated 2009 (or 2010)

Filed under: World of Video Gaming — DGM-payne @ 12:22 am

Full post coming SOON…

Update (6/11/09) : Ha, Call of Duty : World at War has foiled me once again! Map Pack 2 just came out and I haven’t done much else today. I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re big into Nazi Zombies. Shi No Numa is sweet and also  adds some more challenge with the new achievements. I’ve started playing it with my cousin again. If you wanna join we could always use another couple of players to team up with in zombies, you know the username. We’ve been playing since Nacht Der Untoten.

Hopefully I’ll have this post wrapped up by this weekend. In related news I also updated the blog to WordPress 2.8.
